Have a go Pole lathing!
22 October 2018, 10:30 ( Add to calendar )
From log to leg. Take a freshly cut log and turn it into an item of our choice, baseball bat, dibber, candlestick, chair leg. Using a shave horse you will shape your log into a basic round 'blank'. From there it will go onto a pole lathe where you will turn it into the item you choose using a variety of chisels under the exert supervision of the craftsmen. This is a course for an adult and child pair. Due to the height of the lathe and the effort required the minimum age for the child is 11.
